Grand Junction

quincys grand junctionWe’re back! Back in Grand Junction again! (Aerosmith melody here). After a beautiful drive from Tulluride we headed straight to the radio station KAFM in Grand Junction. There was a short interview and we played a couple songs on the air. Other than a little mishap with a cowbell it went very smoothly. After the radio interview we had some time to hang out around town. It was a beautiful day so I decided to relax in the park for a bit. Apparently I looked a bit too comfortable in the park because I was offered some food by a good samaritan. Musicians can often times look like homeless people and sometimes are homeless people. We fortunately are not homeless… although it does feel close when we are on the road. After the fun in the
park I headed to a coffee shop to meet up with the other guys and head to the venue. The show was awesome. Quincy’s is a sweet bar. The staff there really takes care of us and we had a great crowd. No complaints from me about Grand Junction. Even if I was mistaken for a homeless person at least the people were friendly! Gotta love Colorado…. Hooch out!

Live on the radio- KPFT 90.1 -Saturday at 5:30P

That’s right, we’ll be doing our first ever live on-air radio performance tomorrow, Saturday January 30th on KPFT Radio for Peace. That’s in Houston, TX.  Specifically, it’s the “Soundcheck” program during Deadbeat with Sandy Weinman. I’m super excited.

- Starts at 5:30 PM

- Ends at 5:57 PM

- We’ll be doing a few songs, mixed in with a few interview questions

- You can stream online HERE

If you’re in the area, check it out. If not, stream it. It should be pretty cool. KPFT is an awesome radio station, and one of the three stations I listen to in Houston (The others being KTRU 91.7 (Rice Radio, which also features our music) and KTSU 90.9). KPFT always has really interesting programs, unique music, and syndicates awesome programs like Democracy Now! It’s quite an honor to be playing on it. I’ll post a link to the recording if we get it and you miss it.
