Kickstarter Project successfully funded

We’re so ecstatic that our project got funded! Thank you, thank you all for your generous support. The CD’s look awesome, and we’re doing our best to get them into your hands as quickly as possible.

Being back in Austin is great. It gives us a chance to relax from our fast paced touring schedule and focus on getting this project completed. We’re working on compiling songs for the bonus live CD, creating custom clothing designs, recording meditation CDs, and preparing everything else you guys purchased. It should all be ready to ship out very soon. We’ll let you know if there are any delays or anything crazy happening.

We went to Los Angeles!

Howdy howdy! On Friday the 13th we played a show in Santa Monica at a place called TRiP. It’s the same bar we played at last time we came through LA and we were happy to be back. After exactly one week on the road we were already at the coast–and I was very happy to see the Pacific again. The first thing we did was go to the beach. I did not expect the weather to be so cool though. Surprisingly to me, mid-August California has been borderline-cold (at least for Texans like us).

A bonus for the show was that my dad happened to be in town on business. I like playing for my dad all the time, and it was really cool to see him while we were on the road. He also bought us dinner, which was extremely appreciated since we are back to our $10 per diem and basically one meal a day regimen.

We played very well, but the show was marred by some technical difficulties. Jordan’s guitar broke a string toward the end, and unfortunately his other guitar isn’t in the best shape so it was about 5 minutes until we could get on with the show. We were smokin’ through the set up until that point though, and Hooch and I made the best of the situation with our Seinfeld-theme-string-break-
