Caldera Tap House
Ashland, Oregon at the Caldera Tap House
After spending the afternoon watching some great bands play at Apple Jam we head into Ashland to play at the Caldera Tap House. We have played the Caldera two other times and they always treat us right. With 18 of their own brews on tap it really makes it easy to have a great time! My personal favorite is the Oatmeal Stout. It totally hits the spot. We had an awesome crowd that was totally into the funk and really made for a bad ass night. After the show it was back to Apple Jam to have a little more fun! Those Karrgo Bossahova guys know how to throw a party! That pretty much does it for the night. Hooch over and out!
Ashland with Karrgo Bossajova
One of the best parts about touring is returning to the same places and playing with friends (or for friends) you’ve made on the road in the past. Our second show in Ashland, Oregon was one such show. Once again we played at the amazing Caldera Tap House and with our groovetastic friends Karrgo Bossajova.
The night was great. We had a big turn out of music-loving, dancing happy shiny people thanks to the Karrgo guys and they absolutely rocked it. They have some great funky tunes including the crowd favorite “I’m Going to Eat Your Brains, and Steal Your Knowledge”. We also played a great set and managed to yet again take the 2 free drinks and stretch them into free beer!
The night was far from over after the show. We ended up partying and laughing it up with the Karrgo guys til the sun came up. Highlights included a few hysterical (and terrible) organ jams and Jordan told a few of the longest unentertaining stories ever told. He even claims to have been in a dream state while telling them.
Once again Ashland was bad ass! Check out Karrgo Bossajova on myspace.com/karrgobossajova
Great day for a funk band… Let’s have two!
It’s a beautiful day for a funk band. Let’s have two! Ashland is such a beautiful town. If I didn’t know better when driving around I would think I was in the Swiss Alps. The town just has a lot of character. People are very friendly and make you feel at home. The Caldera Tap House was no different. Dave went out of his way to make sure we had everything we could need. Everything from lodging to food to brews. We stayed with the guys from the band Karrgo Bossa Jova.
- Hooch with two new friends from Karrgo Bossa Jova
- The two drummers, plus a friend of KBJ’s
They had a house on the out skirts of town so we could jam late and enjoy ourselves. We had a couple great nights hanging out with the guys from the band. We got to make some great music and just had a great time hanging out. I love Oregon!
