Boulder a joy

Last Saturday we played a rowdy show at The Dark Horse in Boulder. It was a our second show there (the last one being a about six months ago). We worked hard to get a lot of people out, mailing hand fliers to a bunch of our friends in town, and it paid off – the place was packed. I even had a stranger “tweet @achachay to get a free sticker at the show.”

Playing Boulder is always a joy because all three of us have some good friends there. Ryan’s buddies Aaron and Danny were riling people up the whole time, Julie and Kenny were singing along, Hooch’s friends bought us shots. We even had some surprise guests from Houston Texas in town!

This also makes for fun times pre and post show. I got to go mountain biking for the first time Saturday afternoon, and went rock climbing (bouldering in Boulder, classic) with Kate and one of her friends Sunday. H0och and Ryan had some crazy times singing karaoke until sunrise. I think they might have won a beer pong tournament at some point in the weekend too.

All in all we loved our time in Boulder so much that we went ahead and booked the next show in two and a half months – we’ll be back April 30th!
