NYC at the Parkside Lounge! (again)
New york at the Parkside again!
Yesterday we got into NYC from Albany. It’s sunny…a refreshing break from the snowy, windy stuff we were dealing with the past couple days. We got to the bar about 3 and hung out there for a bit before we headed down the street to a place to grab some middle-eastern food. Man I love gyros… After eating we returned to the bar and a couple of the other bands had started arriving. The Parkside Lounge is a regular stop on our East Coast Tours. They treat us well and it’s just a cool spot. We had 3 other bands on the bill with us and we were headlining the show. The other bands were great and did their part to help bring a crowd. Actually, the last time we were in NYC there was a blizzard and 2 feet of snow on the ground and we still had a great crowd without much help from the supporting bands… so I wasn’t worried about that. The only bad thing about the Parkside is that the stage is friggin’ tiny so it felt like I was standing on top of Ryan’s kit. (All things considered, if that’s what I can find as the only problem then it’s a great success!) After getting good and funky we stuck around the bar for a little while then headed to an afterparty with some of Ryan’s friends. We stayed up chatting it up and just enjoying good times with old friends until the early morning. Overall it was a great night and everytime we are in NYC it’s always a blast. I love NY!
